Philosophy

Darin is trained in various psychological techniques and theories, incorporating each within the applicable timing within therapy. Darin’s primary focus is a psychodynamic approach, which examines internal and sometimes hidden forces guiding our thoughts and causing emotional distress and conflict. Creating insight into your internal process is vital in creating a harmonious sense of self and assists in allowing your true self to emerge.

The process of psychotherapy provides individuals a safe space to examine behavioral patterns and gain insight into the meaning and purpose underneath. Going beneath the surface and examining such undercurrents can be a difficult and daunting task to do by yourself, let alone with another. However, it sometimes becomes necessary to have that outside perspective to help us identify the barriers and restraints that prevent us from growing into our true potential. Being understood and supported in a genuine and authentic manner is foundation upon which therapy is built.
